Macafee & Paint Shop Pro

Hi
I just took delivery of an Inspiron 6400 last week with windows xp home edition is installed on it. I want to wipe the drive and start a fresh with XP pro, but I want to check that it is possible to reinstall Macafee and paint shop pro. I did not see a cd with either included,  I know I only have a 60 licence for Paint Shop Pro and I would like to use it a bit more before I decided to buy it or not.

Regards
Paul

McAfee is also a trial version, I believe, that is preinstalled on most computers. It also came preinstalled on my computer and only caused a bunch of trouble. I recommend you uninstall it and use another Anti-Virus. Many people on the forum have had problems with McAfee and recommend not using it. It tends to slow down the machine a lot and cause more problems then it solves. There are a bunch of free anti-viruses out there. Such as AVG Free Edition, which I am currently using. If you decide to start a fresh installation of Windows XP Professional, you can, but I'm pretty sure those programs won't be bundled with it since they are just trials.

I did a search through the forum and one topc did say that the installer included the 60 day trial. Im not going to wait the 60 days because I'll will be busy installing and configuring everything now

You can look through the CD's if you'd like, but I think the free trial would probably not be included. If you'd like, you could just wait 60 days until the trial is over and if you don't like it, install Windows XP Professional once again.

Like you I plan on using avg, macafee is already causing me problems.
But I was hoping to keep the pain shop pro demo, I may check the cds and see if it is just an installer that includes a 60 day licence
