You should have received MS Word as part of MS Office or MS Works Suite. The version will depend on when you bought your system. Either of these should have included a set of discs in a package that lists the serial number. Look in your Dell box and it should be there.
- On Friday I had to total do a re-install of my ME Operating system. Well, this morning I realize I don't have Microsoft Word on my computer anymore, so I took the CD that came with my computer and loaded it but now it asks for a 25 digit registration number on the back of the jewel case.....well, I don't have one!!! How can I install MS Word without this??? I need to write documents!! HELP!!!!

The most common cause of problems with Word is a corrupted normal.dot file. The fix for this is to close Word, then do a search for normal.dot and delete all copies. Word will re-create the file the next time you open the application. When you do this, though, you will lose any changes you made from the default program (macros, etc.)
