Occasional BSOD

I've had a Dimension 9200 since January 2007. I did a clean install of Vista in late April. Since that time I have been getting BSOD. Sometimes it will go weeks without happening and other times once a day for 3 or 4 days. The error in the log is typically like I have shownbelow. I am running RAID 1 if that makes a difference.

Isn't there a way to decipher the Microsoft error message to enable one to home in on which driver might have a problem? Anyway, couldn't it be hardware?

well if you are getting regular BSOD then the best thing to do is uninstall All drivers and then restart and reinstall them, drivers are one of the most computing headaches as sometimes they can be buggy, install incorrectly or become corupt.

Try that and see if that sorts out the problems.

can you not submit more info, like from the event manager? I have very little to go on.

I have found a DMP file that might have some useful information but I can't open it to post the details. Any ideas?

no that is no good that is a dump file, try and sent me your event log file in a text format.

Message me privately with your e-mail address and I will sent you mine I will then get you to send me your event files and I will decipher them for you.

I updated this two days ago - rotten thing caused windows to ask for re-activation!!!!!!!

That was also the last time I recorded an unexpected windows shutdown. (I don't know if the BSOD occured before or after). This problem is so random that it may not happen for another week.

The only other clue I can give is that no one has ever witnessed the blue screen as it happens after a period of no user activity (hence no-one is around). All I ever see is the error message that "windows has recovered from an unexpected error". When I check for solutions on line it tells me nothing.
