re-install windows xp

Need to dump the entire program and re-install.!!! any where i can find this infow. keep getting " fatal system error... had a cable tech over to install comcast.  said my system needs to be re- installed...

    how old is your computer??   i think it was after july 2004  all dimensions have the pc restore tool. on start up, tap together the ctrl + F11 a few times and follow the instructions. this is by far the easiest way. if not, you will need the windows xp reinstalation cd, and the dell dimension resource cd drivers and utilities. make sure either way if you do this, disconnect every thing except keyboard mouse and monitor. DO NOT leave a printer connected. dont always take for granted that what someone tells you is what you have to do. if you can elaborate a bit more on the exact error you get, and exactly what happens and when, you may be able to find a solution here without reinstaalling you operating system. have you tried safe mode, or a system restore, or even last known good???? try tapping F8 when you turn on your comp, go into safe mode and see how you go..............good luck.

    hello, my pc doent have a explorer.exe and all things are dumb. i have to reinstall it but mine is Media center edition which is not on cd. how to reinstall again plz tell me.....

    My pc is 2 months  old. Dell dimension 3100

    i am unlucky.....:smileysad:

    I only would like to dump my entire system programs... and re-install to new... So why does everyone ask all the questions to why.???????????????//   can anyone help...???????????????????// its a desk top
    deminsion... windows xp      I've have done it with dell service tech,,, it all worked great till some one got on to my computor and down load !!! i some how deleted my drives... and now nothing works...................

    WHY!!!  WHY!!!! WHY!!1 CAN'T I JUST RE-INSTALL????????????????????
    I did a test and the (IDE, DISK  CONFIDENCE FAILES..??? RESULT COD 0F00-1300 .... ALSO WHEN I GO TO COMPUTOR AND RIGHT CLICK.. INTO DEVICE MANAGER THE SCREEN IS BLANK...   SO TELL ME WHY CAN'T I JUST DUMP AND START OVER.   I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND SARCASTIC!! BUT   I AM AT MY END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  CAN YOU HELP
