Reliability History Graph is empty in Windows 7
I installed Windows 7 by the upgrade route on My M1530 last month. This OS is actually very nice. Verrrrry stable and uses much less RAM than Vista. Some utility software needs to be reinstalled, but not a big deal.
Only problem is that the Reliability History plot doesn't work. Everything seems to be OK, and the Reliability rating (0-10) is calculated every day as it's supposed, but this data and operational problems do not appear in the Reliability plot. Spent mucho hours with about six Microsoft "helpers" in India. Ended up reinstalling the upgrade twice after many changes made by me and the MS people. Nothing worked. I eventually had to clear the Reliability-Engine log as it had become full of bad data after all the experimentation. This didn't help either; I had a similar problem with Vista, and clearing the logs was the magic fix.
Any one have any ideas for this problem?
RACTask is enabled, and I tried clearing the data several times previously. No help. I installed a second copy of Windows 7 on my E1705, and it works OK. There is one difference between the two, the M1530 calculates the performance index each day as it should, but on the E1705, along with the index, TACTask also does an additional operation. Can't remember what it is, as the 1705 is not on, but I believe this is the problem. The operations set up in Task Scheduler appear to be identical. Am tempted to copy RACTask from the 1705 to the 1530.
