RUNDLL Error

I had Wild Tangent, which I subsequently uninstalled. Since then, I always get the following on startup: "Error loading: Program Files\Wild Tangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll. The specified module could not be found." I tried looking for any existing Wild Tangent files, including hidden files, but can't find any. How do I get this message to stop?

You will need to edit the registry to remove all indications of wild tangent.

Thanks for the suggestion, but when I went into regedit, I saw nothing there for wild tangent. Any other ideas?

    dotbie,

One user reported success in eliminating that error message by searching the registry for entries including cdaengine0400.dll and deleting the one found.

    In addition to Denny's reply:

Open the registry editor (Click Start > Run, type regedit). Locate the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
In the right pane, find and delete the following entries ( if they exists):

    WildTangent CDA

    Using Windows explorer, look for:
    "C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll",cdaEngineMain
