Would be nice especially for people with dialup  but will probably not happen.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Microsoft will not release any (inclusive) service packs for XP. There will still be Windows Updates, but I don't believe there will any SP-3 coming out.

 

The push is on for Vista now.....that seems logical too.

SP3 for Windows XP is currently scheduled for first half of 2008.

Update. Windows XP SP3 could be out by the end of 2007, according to a news release

Although about a different product, the news release implies that XP SP3 will be out later this year (read 3rd paragraph).
