Service Pack?

It keeps popping up check status of virus protection? I have NV and is updated to my knowledge. Why and what do I need to do so it won`t pop up at start up, or do I ned to worry about this?

NAV 2003 works just fine with SP2,  SP2 just doesn't recognize it's there.  If you take care of your own Windows Updates, AV and Firewall you can turn off all the alerts.  Go to the Security Center in the Control Panel>Click change the way Security Center Alerts Me>Uncheck the 3 options.  You can completely disable the Security Center Service in Administrative Tools>Services.

Go into Security Center (from Control Panel) and click on Virus Protection and see what it says. Does it mention NAV ? It may require a re-install of NAV for SP2 to recognize it. Then update it.

Thanks Maxd for the info.. I check and the NV wich is 2003, does not show up on the service pack. So I am going to upgrade to 2005. Is it worth upgrading or just get use to the pop up? Thanks a Bunch.

I would not update just because of the popup . . you can go to the security center, in the AntiVirus section click on reccomendations, then put a check in "I have an antivirus that I will keep up to date" and you will get no more popups.

Did you download and install the current version of LiveUpdate from Symantec? This is needed for SP2. Read up on it here.
