I have a Dell Dimension 8250 about 1.5 years old with Windows XP. I just recantly installed then uninstalled then reinstalled then unistalled service pack 2 from a disk . Because my internet wasn't working, but I realized that all I had to do was turn off my Norton firewall (but that not the point). Someware along that line it started up . Let me explain what it is. When I start up my computer most times I get a blue screen with " ***STOP: 0X00000050 (0XF87FAB00, 0X00000000, 0XF9386051, 0X00000000) " It all so has on the message "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA " If you wan't the exact wording of the other words on the message I can get it for you . Then my only option is to manauly turn off the computer then turn it back on .Then I get options how I want to start windows (start normaly , safe mode , last knowm config. ect) some times it will still send me back to the blue screen and sometimes it lets me in .
.please help me
Ps I am not so tecky so please explain It (as if I am a 6 year old)lol
If you're able to get in, run this command from the Command Prompt (in Accessories):
chkdsk /f/r (note space after the "k")
If you get get in, run this command from the Recovery Console. (To run commands from the RC you have to first ,set your BIOS to boot the system to the CD_ROM drive, normally D, then put your Re-installation XP cd in and Exit the BIOS "Saving Changes".):

Hi there.
I´ve got the same problem. Found this page about it:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;873159
It really didn´t help me, cause I don´t know if I have BootSkinn.
Do you get error messages about your system memory?
