trouble with start-up

hello,

my computer is taking FOREVER to start up. i recently went through many steps to cleaning it ( http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=si_hijack&message.id=1972), but it didn't help with the speed of my computer starting up.

after i log in, i get the desktop, plain though - with nothing on it. the taskbar is along the bottom, but you can't see the start button. just the things in the tray. honestly, about 5-7 minutes later things finally start up. this has only been happening for the last 2 start-ups, where it takes so incredibly long.

now the whole thing is slow, from starting a browser to opening an application. things often freeze, too. i don't know what's going on and i'm getting so frustrated.

please help!

thanks,
carrie

From looking at your Hi-Jack log it indicates you been hit by trojan viruses and were supposely removed by the software.  But if its acting very slow that can mean the virus or leftovers might be on your system.  Honestly your log doesn't look that good, If i were you i would backup my data and reinstall the operating system.

    good luck.
