What model PC?  We can't say if it is 64bit compatible without knowing what the model is.

Then, you/we would have to determine if 64 bit drivers are available for the PC's hardware.

If you want Ultimate, you can use either the 32 bit or 64 bit versions.

Finally, if you want to install Vista 64 bit it must be a "clean" install (reformat the hard drive), you can't "upgrade" the exisiting 32bit version.

    Hi

If you trying to do a true upgrade to have to use the 32 bit Ultimate version !

You can not upgrade with the 64 bit Ultimate version it has to be a clean install of 64 bit

You boot the Ultimate 64 bit DVD to install it .

    Good Luck

You should have the F12 option at boot up, if you want to boot from a CD/DVD drive.  Have you tried that?

Watch the screen for " Press any key to boot from the CD/DVD ". When you see it press any key.

    Hi

If you do a upgrade you have to do it inside of windows !!

if you boot the DVD you will install it as a clean install .

You can not do a upgrade if you boot it using F12 .

You are going to hoes your Premium install !!

If you have SP1 installed you have to remove it to upgrade windows without

    a SP1 upgrade disk !!

    Hi

You said you wanted to upgrade to Ultimate

you have to use the disk inside of windows !

If you have service pack 1 installed and you do not

have a service pack 1 Ultimate upgrade disk to upgrade

with you have to remove SP 1 in your Premium OS to upgrade !

If you boot the disk using 12 you will ether do a clean install or

you will do a custom install !

Ether of those ways you hoes your Premium install and all of the software in it !!

    Good Luck
