Hi Tony i am unable to find such drivers at dell support. There are only drivers available for the vista 32 bit system which was installed on the machine when i bought it.

Click on  "Search for Drivers".  Follow on-screen prompts.

I believe they are installed with Chipset Drivers. Have you tried here?

I downloaded the chipset drivers. Its difficult to know if usb 2.0 is active because in the hardware device manager it won`t say. I think its supposed to say you have usb 2.0 controller there.

Which chipset driver did you download?  You need to download/install the X38 chipset driver I referenced before applying the INF update that Oddvar referenced.  Otherwise the USB won't be seen in Device Manager.

Device Manager should have" Universal Serial Bus controller" listed

 Expand click +  should be listed "Intel ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller-xxxx" twice and

a bunch of other USB hub listings and controllers
