User Account Control

I think that UAC is causing the flicker of my monitor. I have checked the wires and tried a different monitor and the flicker persists. What I think is happening is a program starts to
run that Vista doesn't recognize (ex: Spyware Detector by Max Secure) it flickers when
the Vista message comes on the screen. This is very annoying. I think the combination
of Nod32, Spyware  Detector and Ccleaner should be enough to protect my Puter
without UAC and it's annoying process.

    Not familiar with "Tweakuac".
What company wrote it and how much does it cost?
    Please.
I hesitate to completely turn off UAC but would like the option to give
permission to the programs I know are OK.
    Thanks

You could also try TweakUAC. This allows you to completely turn UAC off or set it to give most of the normal protection without all the permission requests. Works great for me.

Just Google on TweakUAC and your there. It's FREE.
