Volume Normalizing MP3 CD's

I would like to find a program regardless of price that REALLY works when you want to volume normalize MP3 tracks to burn to a CD. I've used various ones in the past, such as Nero 6, Roxio CD 5, etc., w/o much success. Looking for user opinions on what is the best software to do this. Thanks in advance

One that I know works (I use it) is GoldWave, a shareware audio editor.  www.goldwave.com  Many programs will not "normalize" MP3 files but Goldwave will.

Try the free program mp3gain, available at http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net
This program does only one thing: normalizes mp3 files
