I assume you are referring to taking MP3 files from your hard drive and converting these to audio disc format. If you are talking about recording from audio discs to create MP3 files, please clarify that.

There is probably a setting in MMJB where you are telling it what format to burn. In Sonic, if you specify audio discs, then the program should convert the MP3s to audio format automatically.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the settings on mmjb & sonic . The problem may be in my E drive, even burning an exact copy of a cd I've burnt before now comes out mp3 Thanks again for your reply, this is the first time I've used the forum, a novice like me needs all the help I can get.

Obviously, if you make an "exact copy" of a disc containing MP3 files, the resulting disc will contain MP3 files. I think it would be helpful if you just went through the user guides for your software and learned how to use it. This site may also be useful.

The exact copy I was refering to was a "wav " cd that came out  "mp3" when I made the exact copy using Sonic. I've made cd's using Sonic & mmjb for a while now . This problem  just started recently. I can use any icon (wav, mp3 etc) but the cd will come out mp3. Any more suggestions?
