Last time I updated My DELL INSPIRON 15R LAPTOP on 15 July,2016...Since then a message appears on my WINDOWS 10 UPDATE APP SAYING :"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80096004)"
I even used Update troubleshooter and it says Problem is Fixed but still the error appears...
Microsoft is constantly trying to provide the users a more stable and secure system by performing frequent updates for Windows 10. But still the users are getting error while updating Windows 10 OS and some of the errors are tough enough to crack. To fix the Windows 10 update error follow some troubleshoot that will help you to fix the errors.
1. Disable the antivirus program temporary and then try to update.
2. Execute System File Checker Scan
This inbuilt utility fixes various system files issue. Follow the steps to make use of the SFC tool
• Hit Windows key + X and run Command Prompt (Admin) and in the command line, type sfc/scannow
• The process last for approximately 5 minutes.
• As it is completed, restart your PC and try updating again.
Hope this will help you to fix the Windows 10 update error, but if still you are unable, then perform a clean installation of Windows 10 or download the Windows Media Creation tool.

Lastly.....
Turn off any unnecessary background apps in Privacy Settings.
At left bottom of taskbar, click on windows icon, click on Settings, Privacy, and then Background apps.
