Last time I updated My DELL INSPIRON 15R LAPTOP on 15 July,2016...Since then a message appears on my WINDOWS 10 UPDATE APP SAYING :"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80096004)"

I even used Update troubleshooter and it says Problem is Fixed but still the error appears...

    Lastly.....

Turn off any unnecessary background apps in Privacy Settings.

At left bottom of taskbar, click on windows icon, click on Settings, Privacy, and then Background apps.

    :emotion-2:

Method 1 - Troubleshooting Common Computer Problems:

    1. Type troubleshooting control panel onto the (Cortana) search bar, click on "View All", and then Windows Store Apps.

Method 2 - Clear & Reset Windows Store Cache in Windows 10

    1. Press windows logo and X keys at the same time, and then click on Command Prompt(Admin)

    2. Type WSReset.exe and then enter

Here you need to restart your Windows update service if the Windows troubleshooter is not working, follow the steps to do so:

    1. Click Win key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

    2. Now find Windows Update service, Background Intelligent Transfer service, and Cryptographic services.

    3. Double-click on each of them and select Stop from the drop down menu.

    4. After that, go to the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ location and delete everything that is located in this folder.

    5. Once done, click Win key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter again.

    6. Locate Windows Update service, Background Intelligent Transfer service, and Cryptographic services.

    7. Double-click on each of them and select Start from the drop down menu.

    8. Close everything, restart the system, and try to run Windows Updates.
