Windows 7 Upgrade - has anyone got it in India???
Hi All,
I am a dell studio user from Bangalore, I had registered for the Windows 7 Upgrade program on 22nd OCT 2009, all I can see against my registered service tag is the OS has been shipped. The tracking number is provided. But my doubt is through which shipper I can use this tracking number to track my shipping. I have been to the dell community pages that result from the google search, they all point to UPS Mail Innovations website. So I had checked my tracking number through their data base, but still no luck.
So my quesion over here on this forum is, has anyone in India received their upgrade kits, if yes can you tell me how did you track the consignment / from which courier service did your parcel arrive.

There was no response from DHL-Global Mail. Wish there was some more otions available track the shipped packages. Please keep us posted if any updates are available.

vasubik i am also from bangalore,bannerghatta road area, didnt recieve my upgrade kit yet.just waiting for the local courier guy to deliver it ,some people in chennai and hyderabad got their kit,but no one from bangalore got their kit ,
also u can go tru this thread,some people have got their kits

I received my kit on Saturday - 7 November in Pune. Upgraded to Windows 7 the very same day. All is fine.

I have send the mail to the above mail id with details to track the shipment. After 3 Days alo no Reply.

Hi All,
I recieved a confirmatory mail from the sin (dot) win7enquiry (at) dhl-globalmail (dot) com saying my package is in India and they need around 5 working day to fulfil the delivery. Yippe.
Thanks one and all in this forum for helping with the different ways.
Just waiting for my kit to arrive :) :)

Hey guys,,
i have recevided by package yesterday......but there is problem
I have Studio 1555 with creative sound add added as optional ,yesterday i have upgraded my system by installing fresh copy of Windows 7 32-bit ,and i started addind all the drivers to the system after the os installation was completed ,but when i installed creative driver cd ,my audio went off it showed no driver when i opted for repair the windows installed it's OS audio drivers called some High defination drivers ,but creavitve audio /Console is not supported with the same ,i called dell people for the same ,they say windows 7 -32 bit drivers are yet to be upgraded on site ,
Anybody who has faced the same problem and solved the same kindly revert back.
