Windows Updates
Here's a basic question that I need some feedback on. Are you supposed to accept and use the Windows Updates that pop-up? Someone told me at one time not to download them because they cause problems, others say you should to keep your system updated with the latest version and so that it runs at optimal performance.

All Windows Critical Updates should be installed. The optional updates can be installed if they apply to the way you use your system and/or the software installed. Driver updates are better obtained from the Web site of the manufacturer of the device to which the driver applies.
