Closing laptop messes up haptic touchscreen
Hello. My wife has a Dell laptop. Don't know the exact model, sorry.
She tells me not to close it when I'm done but I did tonight and she's mad.
Apparently, when her lid is closed, the haptic sensors in the touchscreen go berserk when it reopens, as if it's being touched in 10 places at once. It forces her to have to shut down and restart.
Is this a known issue, and is there a way to prevent it from happening in the first place or to stop it when it begins?

I'd suggest you uncheck the box ( Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power) in USB device properties - Device Manager).
