new to this form. I'm looking to purchase a Dell XPS 13-9310. Is it possible to upgrade the RAM and SSD on your own? I have been chatting with someone who is saying this is not possible.
See answer in your other post -- the clamshell model is SSD-upgradeable, but on both the clamshell and 2-in-1, memory is soldered in and not upgradeable; on the 2-in-1, the SSD is also soldered in and not upgradeable.
Hello, if it is possible to upgrade RAM on Raspberry Pi, then it must be possible to upgrade (even more so) on DELL XPS ... the question is only how troublesome it is and what would be the best parts to resolder / change with ...
and if any1 knows the steps / which parts should be changed / resoldered ... (I do hope DELL did not screw up all the setup as they did screw my warrany ... as I did try to reach to them while my DELL XPS 13 was UNDER WARRANTY CLAIMS when my:
1. BATTERY DIED
2. FAN DIED ... and for more than 1 year nobody ever cared to respond (until this day today, I never ever got any feedback from them, so I manually fixed this #$%& , and never ever again am I going to recommend spending a small fortune on DELL devices as the support is non existent)
