Hi @mark5693 welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Watched your video, good move, words are not enough. The ghosting of artefacts on the screen are clearly visible, and very annoying. Seems that Dell Quality Control has missed something again.
Use your Dell account to ask Dell Support to create a Service Request for you. Provide link to your video, as evidence of fault. Be very clear to state your remedy. If your remedy is new replacement, the Dell warranty kicks in after 30 days and you are stuck with trying to get the x17 R1 repaired. If your remedy is full refund, the warranty starts again, but perhaps with a different OEM. First tier Dell phone responders read from the prepared script, they are not allowed to deviate from this script, or be helpful. You must decide if spending a lot of time trying to get this x17 R1 fixed, is worth the hassle.
Please click on Kudos to say thank you for response from user that is not employed by Dell. Please share an update on progress, so that other users derive benefit from your experience. Thank you.

Wow. That's interesting. I got mine Christmas Eve, and it had a white line across it. I need to send it in because it actually is a serious issue for me. But I need it for school, so I can't at the moment, but this is a replacement for my m17 r3 (Which I don't suggest for anyone btw), and it has had many issues as far as locking up. I couldn't even reach Dell to do anything within my 30-day period and they refused to honor it. Oh, how I wish I kept my ,17 r3
Hi @HelpMeh if you Reject out of the box damaged system within first 30 days, you can keep using your damaged system until new replacement arrives. Dell Refund policy, New vs Refurbished - Dell Community Visit your online Dell account and create Service Request asap and tell Dell what has happened and why you request belated Reject. As you continue to be within Dell warranty, click on @DELL-Cares and send them Private Message requesting assistance.
