Backup setup

Have you contacted Unitrends?   I noticed they have a number of whitepapers on their site.  Including one on VMware environments.

EQL storage is going to play a pretty passive role here.   Whatever is going to act as the desitination device for backups will need access via iSCSI to a volume on the EQL storage.

Or if you want to use NFS,  connect the NFS server to EQL storage, and share out that volume via NFS.

I do that inhouse to create a Datastore with all my ISO images.  Making access very easy

Hi Donald, All

i took some time out to replace equipment. I am back now to the same problem. I saw the videos on unitrends as you suggested and they have been of great help. My problem still is that is it possible to have two equallogics act as replication partners? How do i configure the equallogic to pick up backupsdata from an nfs or attached disk ? Finally how do i configure another group from a single equallogic pool?

At the end of the day all i want is to have backups sent to a backup machine. create replication between two equallogics in such a way that one equallogic is picking from the backup. possible?
