One day I was using my computer and it just suddenly switched from the F buttons doing their icons (i.e. brightness and volume) to me having to hold Fn to use that. I assumed I had accidently changed a setting and it was user error, however my brightness buttons stopped working. When I press F11 and F12 they just fullscreen and open the console. When I hold down function(Fn) they do nothing. The bar doesn't pop up anymore and the brightness doesn't change. I can still go into settings and change the brightness but it's just a lot harder and confusing. I then looked for help and arrived here, and found out someone else had a similar problem, to which someone replied with my exact same problem. That's when I realized that if they had issues with the F# buttons switching from normal use to Fn use, then it probably wasn't just my fault. The official(? helper? worker? idk) there gave some suggestions like opening device manager and disabling the display adapters, then renabling them. I tried that and it didn't work, so I clicked update drivers and it still hasn't worked. The staff(there's the word) there just said to them to contact them directly, so none of the other troubleshooting advice was on the replies feed. Help?
