Faulty and third class quality screen installation by Dell
Hi,
This is Parth.
“I had faced many issues during the time the laptop is under warranty. Dell technical support team never really tried to resolve the issue. I have never seen any positive communication or the support from the Dell support team!
Still I kept on following-up for issue resolution and they attempted to resolve the issue.
Lastly I observed the camera not working and asked the team for replacement. After frequent follow-up, they agreed to resolve the issue. As the camera is inbuilt in the Screen assembly, they replaced the whole screen assembly. But after the installation of the new screen, I found that the Display is skewed with respect to the outer cover. In addition to that the adhesive between the display and the top cover was not proper at many places. At corners and edges, there are gaps and considerable black lines can be seen easily.
I asked the service technician to see the issue and he too confirmed that the issue is there with the screen assembly! He mentioned the same in the report also.
I shared the photos of the skewed screen and the adhesive issue with the support team and they requested me to wait for sometime as they were awaiting the final confirmation for the further action from their design or senior (all the nonsense talks) team. But of my surprise, they straightaway mentioned that they wouldn’t be replacing the screen.
I believe the local, roadside sellers are also more reliable and trustworthy than the Dell Support team. The roadside sellers take the responsibility for the issues created/occurring from their end. But Alas, the Dell is such an untrustworthy, unreliable, unskilled, unprofessional that it doesn’t care about the service quality.
It is indeed a fraud company!
They say the gaps are as per the standard. But I wonder such gaps were not there in the old screen which they took after the replacement. I wonder hearing their such rubbish responses. I wonder if the adhesive issues is also the standard or what!
This shows how unreliable the Dell responses are!
I believe this post will be no of use to get the issue resolved as the Dell team doesn’t believe in honouring the matters/problems faced by its customers due to Dell’s third class service quality!!”
