I cannot boot from my second SSD drive

Hi everybody.
I have a DELL Inspiron 1564 and I replaced my DVD drive with an SSD (using this adapter) in order to have and a second SSD.
My problem is I can't boot from the second SSD, only from the first one.
(I can read and write files from the second)

You 'll find the report from HWinfo here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qhkFm2WLjIfzsWgZwr1CEES3ZEcjf6t3/view?usp=sharing
Any help on how to boot from the second SSD is welcome.

While you can use the adapter/caddy for a storage drive, the system will not boot from the drive installed in the adapter.  Only the hard drive connected to the system board directly can function as the boot drive.

Maybe your 1st SSD is a M2.SATA and the laptop has a “one-or-the-other" 2nd “parallel" SATA connector effectively turning off the built-in. What's the device list - empty as well?

Make/model of that laptop would help a lot, for searching the online mainboard manual.

(if you mean this by 'device list')

While booting, if I press f12 I get these boot options:

    1. Hard drive

    2. CD/DVD/CD-RW Drive

    3. Removable devices

    4. Network

    5. Diagnostics

I mention it in my first post, DELL Inspiron 1564.
