This is my system info, I want to upgrade the processor, it is possible in the model. if possible which type willl be suitable for the model, please advise.
DELL INSPIRON 5567 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.90 GB usable) Device ID 046B5520-62C6-4D06-839F-05FA083AEB2A Product ID 00329-00000-00003-AA609 System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
There is nothing in the Dell service manual about the CPU thus it would appear its not a separate item, like many laptops. A new system board with a i5 or i7 7th gen CPU is the only option.
If this is to get an 8th gen CPU so Windows 11 can be supported, upgrading the system board to an 8th gen is not possible. However, wait as the final Microsoft requirements may change and allow 7th gen CPU's.
