Issues in v8.0.0.4

Hi All,

We have recently upgraded ISILON cluster from v7.2.0.2 to v8.0.0.4. Now we are seeing below to issue:

1) SMB share access : we are unable to browse \\isilon name\  but before upgrade we are able to do.

                                     We have othet cluster with 7.2 and in that we are able to browse \\isilon name\ and see all shares.

2) CLI access : Before upgrade to 8.0.0.4 we are able to login cluster CLI using our Active directory account (likke UI473623)but after upgrade we are unable to access. I also tried accessing using "domain\AD ID" but no luck.

But in GUI I am able to login using "domain\AD ID"

Can anyone help me to address this issue.

    Did you check the patches needed for OneFS 8.0.0.4?

    Patch-192478 - This patch addresses multiple issues with the SMB service.

    I would certainly suggest you file a service request on your issues. They certainly warrant one, and of course there is no SLA here in the community forums, though everyone generally appreciates if you can post the details of your resolution once the issue is sorted out.

    Hi!

          We had a similar issue with a customer regarding access to list SMB share using \\

          In our case we had a kerberos issue.

          Take a look on "KB Article: 000480672 - After upgrading to OneFS 8.0.0.0, clients that rely on Kerberos authentication cannot be authenticated to the cluster"

         Although there is a note saying that this not apply to versions later than 8.0.0.1, we applied that KB and the issue was solved!

         So, may be it can be helpfull to you! :-)

    Hi Vieira,

    Thanks for response. I am not able to find the KB article , if possible can you please provide me link.

    Also I have raise case with EMC and they suggest two solutions:

    1) Apply SMB patch - patch-199265.tgz

    2) upgrade OneFS version to 8.0.0.8 which fixs this issue.

    We have upgrade our other cluster onefs from 7.2.0.2 to 8.0.0.5 and we haven't notice the above mentioned two issues.

    Waiting for KB article link

    Hi Vieira,

    I have verified and our cluster issue is not related to this one.

    Node 2 -2017-08-28 15:26:11,691 - INFO - AUTH upgrade part 1 complete

    Node 2 -2017-08-28 15:26:12,135 - INFO - AUTH upgrade part 2 complete

    Node 2 -2017-08-28 15:26:12,158 - INFO - AUTH upgrade part 3 complete

    Node 2 -2017-08-28 15:26:12,259 - INFO - AUTH upgrade part 4 complete

    We will update oneFS version on next maintainance window.
