We have Dell Latitude 3300s with Intel AC8265 WLAN adapters running Windows 10. If you google these keywords "dell 3300 intel ac8265 problem" - you'll see the long list of wireless connectivity failures associated with this adapter model.
My question is - has anyone found a stable PROset / driver version for this Intel adapter that gives our wireless clients the best possible wireless stability?
Alternatively - is anyone running Athero's adapters in Latitudes successfully in an enterprise environment? If so, is there a particular adapter model / driver version that is stable?
Hi @asafayan I googled your fault and only found this thread and your same post on the cisco forums. Having looked at our knowledge base, so far we have no listed faults for these cards, only installation guides.
Before I can assist can you explain in detail the exact faults that you are having with the AC8265 wireless cards please.
Search these keywords: 8265 problems - you'll find plenty of hits.
Our is precisely like the first link below. My question to Dell is - what does your internal TAC DB show as the most stable adapter / driver combination?
@asafayan I had a look at those links and again, they have no relevance to the fault at hand. Those non-Dell systems will be running different boards, chipsets and drivers. All can be responsible for faults.
As per original message, can you explain in detail the exact fault that you are having with the Latitudes and the AC8625 wireless cards, and the troubleshooting you have attempted.
I've had better results with Windows 10 installed drivers then OEM or Intel drivers. The older ones seem way more stable but not perfect. The latest Windows 10 upgrade (1903) has had issues with some wifi chips. I even replaced my AC7260 thinking it would help and I have had less disconnects. But it has not eliminated them and had zero issues until the 1903 update.
