Linux installation failed
I have an Optiplex 3020 SFF computer running in UEFI mode. I have tried installing the latest Ubuntu and Manjaro Linux distros, but without success. In both cases the installation procedure cleared the hard drive and created its own default partitions. In both cases the installation appeared to go to completion, but when trying to boot up, I got the message "no bootable devices found." Can anyone suggest a possible cause?

Hello,
I know it's been 5 years but I recently had a very similar issue and solved it myself. My issue was that I tried to install Linux (specifically, Debian) without including the necessary processor-specific microcode. See this page for more, it has information that should apply across nearly all Linux distros. The fix is to use an installation .iso that includes the necessary, non-free firmware that contains your processor microcode.
