xps 13 9360 grub/grub2
I was trying to increase the font size of grub during boot.. and DIDN'T make a copy of /boot/grub/grub
before I started.. I've mucked with the 'modifled' grub and can't get back to the original or much less change the font size..
.. where can I get a copy of the original grub (file)
.. and/or change the grub boot files.. (I've tried most everything I could search for..)

Are you using the Dell Ubuntu 16.04 install, or some other Debian based version of Linux?
If so, you could try the boot-repair utility:
help.ubuntu.com/.../Boot-Repair
It might help repair your grub install, AND allow you to more easily tweak your font size.
