Alpha - YLOD (CMOS Battery Issue) | Alienware community
Can anyone point me to a replacement CMOS battery for the Alienware Alpha? I've tried the re-seat & power drain procedures and they only result in a temporary fix.
I have sent multiple emails to dell and I have received no response.
I have located the correct battery online but they only ship inside the states. Unfortunetly I live in Australia.
Is there a way to make dell reply and sell me one?
I don't understand what the issue is and why they are being so cagey I am willing to pay for it.

Have you used parcelmonkey, they might help in shipping to Australia, items that are in the US.

So, users ARE calling it YLOD. I thought I was the only one who thought that up.

Whatever you do dont throw away the old battery. You can buy a CR2032 holder with solder tabs and rebuild it.
then just wrap with electrical tape.
