GPU AND CPU

So I wanna run games like bf3 on ultra settings. Would I be able to just upgrade the graphics card and it would just work or is this not possible?

    Others might be able to help if you post your exact system model name and some specs.

    What kind of FPS (FramesPerSecond) are you expecting to get?

    @funsie

    What system do you have? And if you want a good gaming system what is your budget?

    GPU is more important for running games on high graphics options. You dont always need to upgrade the cpu to install a new gpu.

    As a rough guide/example gaming at 1080p + core i5, 8gbs of ram + GTX 660ti can max out bf3 on ultra and maintain 60 fps + (msaa off)

    If your on a budget you can use an i3 + amd 7870 and get about 50+ fps on bf3 ultra also

    Yes, both the processor and graphics card can be upgraded just like a full size machine. The processor needs to have an LGA1155 socket type though, and the graphics card choices are limited by power draw. Right now the 660 ti cards and 670 cards from EVGA are the best option.

    Was able to achieve that on my R4 when I upgraded my GPU to a GTX670.
