Dell 410 comment

I just received and installed my first Dell, a 410, yesterday. I'm already finding support hard to get to. I was told by dell support today, after typing in my Service Tag, that I did not buy my Dell in the U.S.!!!

I had trouble finding and deleting the dell search assistant. Why would anyone want that?

Did I make a mistake choosing Dell? What else am I in for?
At least the hardware is what I ordered and seems to be OK so far.

Sorry you're having a bad experience...

I received my XPS 410 on Halloween and had to call support that night because for some reason my IP address wasn't getting picked up and I couldn't connect to the internet.

I didn't have to wait on hold hardly at all - a rep picked up right away and a little while later the problem was fixed.  I had to reset my modem and restart my pc a couple of times.

Other than that and an error (C++???) I keep getting on my Roxio creator (cd) software when I close it, my XPS 410 is working fine and FAST.

250 gig 7200 rpm hard drive
2 gig of RAM 667 Mhz
