Fan problem.
Hey guys. I own a Dell Xps 8700. As we all know, the dell xps 8700 comes with two fans to keep the computer cool. However, I encounter this weird problem with the back fan. The back fan struggles to turn leaving this very high pitch beep sound every second. This happened only twice. The last time in occurred was a month ago. The only solution to this problem is either restart the computer, or run a fan test. I really don't know if I should be concerned about this.. Please tell me what I can do.

If you're under warranty, contact Dell Tech Support for possible fan replacement.
And check inside the case to make sure a cable or something else isn't interfering with the fan blades.
Always power off, unplug and press/hold power button for ~15 sec before opening the case.

I got a replacement fan, and guess what happened, the fan stopped spinning and did the exact same thing my old fan did.

I really don't think it was the motherboard or the PSU that was the problem. The problem is the actual fan. I bought a more expensive and reliable fan from a computer parts store and the problem was fixed. I've been running the new fan for 2 months, no problem.. I'm pretty sure the fans they send you are pretty low quality and cheap.
