outlook express

I can't get my hotmail account to work with outlook express. I noticed the account got "auto-completed" by outlook express, so, I am afraid to mess with it. I realize I should go with this question to microsoft ( I will try, before they break up, he he...) but my concern was aol, so I uninstalled it. I also have a free provider, Spinway.com , as well as the Palm "hot sync "software . How do I get to the "guts" of my computer, to make sure everything is ok? I tried: control panel-internet options but it seems superficial...

Hi Pedro, Many of the free internet sites do not support POP3 (Outlook Express) mail. If your POP mail account was at aol, you no longer can use it. You can use Microsoft's Hotmail, however. You can check in tools in Outlook Express under accounts to see if you have an account for POP3 mail listed. If you need a web based mail program like Hotmail, you can add the account and use Outlook Express.
