Dell's Automated PC Tune Up

I'm debating on purchasing this since I have a 30 day trail software on my new XPS 1530 which came with 3GB of memory.  I've only had the laptop for 25 days and during that time purchased a 2GB memory chip from Dell and upgraded my system to the full 4GB.  When I run the PC Tuneup it only says I have 2GB with 2GB of memory still available but when I check my system configuration from control panel its shows 3582MB of memory.  This makes me wonder how reliable Dells Automated PC Tuneup is, any thoughts from others?

The reason your system is only showing 3582 MB of RAM is because 32-bit Windows versions can only recognize that maximum of memory.  If you want to actually have access to the additional memory, you would have to have a 64-bit version of Windows installed.  Im not sure about the PC Tune Up, but I would doubt you need it, especially on a computer that is only 30 days old.  Sounds like a scam to make more money to me...but thats just my opinion.

Thanks for the reply and I understand the difference in memory being shown on my 32 bit system.  My point was Dells PC Tuneup only showed 2GB after I scanned my system with 2GB of memory still available.
