missing sound display

Hi Folks,
 
I got my i9100 from Dell with XP Home and noticed that when you up or down the volume via the keyboard it flashes up a dispaly on screen with volume level. After clean install of XP Pro it no longer does this, is it only a Home Edition feature or is there a setting I need to change some place to dispaly it.

    Thanks Mike,

    There was a reason at the time for not reinstalling the quick set... that reason seems to no longer be floating about my brain so i'll reinstall them tonight. :)
