Webcam reinstalls itself?

I have a dell m1530 that i upgraded to windows 7. Lately the blue active webcam light will randomly turn on (when i'm not using it) for a split second. Then windows will proceed to say installing new hardware and says webcam has been installed. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, but that doesn't help. The webcam works as normal, except sometimes freezes.

    Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

    You can uninstall the webcam application and reinstall the one listed below to see if it will resolve your issue with the webcam.

    Do you have Fast Access Facial Recognition Software installed?

     

    I also noticed that the webcam light randomly comes on. I usually lock, then unlock the computer and it turns off.
