    nealaka, Will1010,

Since your U2312HM monitor only has an attached Dell Order number and not a Dell Service Tag number, contact Dell Customer Support for your country. Provide to them the following data so they can setup a like for like monitor exchange =
    Email Address:
    Name:
    Shipping Address:
    Phone number:
    Monitor Order number:
Monitor 20 digit alphanumeric PPID serial number:
Reason: Provide the links to your pictures
Note: Once outside of the initial 30 days from the original invoice date, the replacement will be a refurbished/used monitor

    nealaka,

We need to see pictures of the monitor while running the BID (Built-in Diagnostics). Doing this takes the computer, computer video card, drivers, and all cabling out of the troubleshooting.
    * Turn the monitor off
    * Disconnect all cables from the monitor except the power cord
    * Looking at the monitor buttons top to bottom, press and hold buttons 1 and 4 down for two seconds
    * An all Gray screen appears
    * Press button 4. The screen changes to Red
    * Press button 4. The screen changes to Green
    * Press button 4. The screen changes to Blue
    * Press button 4. The screen changes to Black
    * Press button 4. The screen changes to White
    * Press button 4 to exit the test. If the monitor showed all of the color screens correctly, the monitor is functioning. The issue is with either the video card, cabling, or the video card driver.

I too am having the same issue and following the instructions provided, the gray and white both have a purple tint on the left side. The green also shows a bit of red tint on the left side.

There are also scan lines from the left to a little past half way.

The desktop icons also seem to burn-in if I leave it on the desktop.
