U2410 slight buzz?

Is it normal to have a slight buzzing come from a U2410?   Its very annoying for me and I can't concentrate.

Hey.  I just recieved my new monitor the other day and I hear the buzzing too even when the monitor is off.  it is driving me nuts.  This is my 4th monitor and I never experienced this before.  I am strongly debating returning it over this.

I found out that changing my brightness to be above 76 makes my buzzing go away.  Try to adjust your bright and contrast and see if it helps.  I don't think it will for you because its happening even when your monitor is off which means its a power supply noise.

Does anyone know in the OSD menu theres a Pixel Clock value.  What does that do?  The menu option for it even says "Noise Reduction" but I think thats some kind of noise for colour or something?

    Thanks.

Agreed. Set the Brightness to 76 or greater and adjust the Contrast to 25 and do not use the Energy Smart settings.

How do you disable Energy Smart?  I can't find it anywhere in my OSD menu.

I can understand, that you guys has found a workaround for a faulty powersupply. But I would guess, that you would need a new replacement monitor that works, or?!

I also use a U2410, until dell's customer service replies back to me.. they're soooo... slow, and I can only mail them, not phone them (well thats another story) :( But my unit doesn't make any noise at all. I've turned the brightness down to about 25, and contrast at default setting, using the sRGB preset. I've owned another U2410, which also didn't make any noise. I would order an exchange.

On my current u2410, the preset select touch button doesn't work  very well. It only works sometimes when I touch the button?! the first unit I had didn't have a problem with the buttons. So this is strange.

Sorry, Energy Smart was on the other monitor. For yours, just use the brightness/contrast adjustments.

I have not yet tried the adjustments as suggested here for buzzing - but I have been searching for comments on a humming noise - assume ps related - which has become annoying.
