    Hi,

    What is the error message you got in the daemon.raw regarding the daily backups and in the group logs as well ? Is this a new Data Domain integration or it was working perfectly before and this is a new issue ?

    Please provide us with more information regarding the environment and messages in logs.

    Thanks,

    Ahmed Bahaa

    Hello,

    A couple of things can cause this:

    1) Networker 7.6.3.2 has issues with data domain devices going offline.  To fix it you can downgrade the ddboost libraries back to teh library file that comes with 7.6.2.2 (this was the case for me, because that was the previous version i was on).  You can also upgrade to 7.6.3.3 or 7.6.3.4 to fix.

    2) Adjust your keep alive settings as shown in esg60759.

    You can also enable auto-media management for networker to attempt to bring the device back online after it goes offline in the meantime.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi svejesus,

    I face this issue before and escalated to EMC Support. Below are the fix.

    From the storage node/networker server. Define this in registry.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

    KeepAliveTime=300000

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

    TcpWindowSize=256000

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

    GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize=16777216

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

    KeepAliveInterval=1000

    • Disable TCP chimney by running the following command:

    C:\> netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled

    C:\> netsh int tcp set global rss=disabled

    Then select "Auto-media management" in the device properties of DDBoost device.

    After that, everything went fine .

    Thanks,

    Renato
