DHCP problems with two tier MLAG
Hi all,
I recently configured a two-tier MLAG with 4x Dell N3048 switches. The configuration is pretty much straight out of the MLAG Configuration Examples PDF, other than my peer links are copper and my partner links are fiber.
Right now, the management VLAN is (temporarily) 1. The first tier of the MLAG is connected to an existing switch on our network, and the entire existing network just uses pvid 1. On interface vlan 1, I have ip address DHCP, and both halves of the MLAG are able to pull a DHCP fine.
However, doing the same thing on the second tier (interface vlan 1, ip address dhcp) and I never get a lease. Looking at the DHCP packet debugging, it's being broadcast but simply timing out. Obviously this broadcast traffic is not making it over the partner trunk and/or to the existing network switch. But I can't figure out where the hold up is. Any ideas? Switch configurations are below.

Thanks. Diving into this more, I ended up finding out that there is some weirdness going on with RSTP, and my partner link port-channels were all in the Discarding state. I've temporarily disabled RSTP on the switches until I sort out whats going on, and now everything works great.
