Hello,
Is it not possible to assign a secondary IP to a VLAN interface on a S3124 that is in the same subnet as the primary IP?
Thanks

Hi,Use the secondary ip command Page 950 https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_networking/esuprt_net_fxd_prt_swtchs/networking-s3100-series_user%27s-guide12_en-us.pdf

Get the error "Error: IP address 192.168.6.7 overlaps with primary IP address" when adding the secondary IP because the secondary in on the same subnet. I wanted to know if a secondary is not allowed if it is in the same subnet.

it seems i have the same issue : this is my core management switch and want to access its management ip but don't want to plug a cable to itself
did you find a solution / workaround ?
- disable management ip /route on oob port ?
- assign ip to interface (any ?) or vlan (1 or any ?)
