cannot view one specific website??

My internet is working properly in all other areas, I am able to search the web, etc. However I cannot access one particular site, my MySpace page, as of about a week ago.  I will get "page cannot be displayed" messages or "cannot find server" messages. There was never a problem before, as I checked the site about every other day. I have gotten on the site from other computers. I am confused as to why it is only this site I can't access from my computer. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Did the site somehow get placed in your restricted sites list.  Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options, click on the Security tab, then on the Restricted Sites icon, then on the Sites button and see if it is listed there.

I am having the same problem with viewing Yahoo Personals and Match.com. I either get a message that "page can not be displayed" or "web site is taking to long to respond--operation timed out". the problem occurs only on these 2 sites.

Yahoo Personals help on-line has no idea what the problem is. I have changed security setting, turned off firewall, deleted cookies.

It seem to be some kind of security is blocking Web Pages. A few time I could browse a few pages, then I get a message that I am about to enter a secure site and that's it. Page will not display.

Any idea on what is wrong or where I can get help.

did these problems begin after you installed the Aug 8 Windows update?  Are you running Win 2K SP4 or XP SP1?
