Gaming Problem

I have a router, a Belkin one, on my main computer, and on my newer computer, I have a Dell network adapter, and when I'm playing a game, whenever something big happens (gun fight, explosion, ect), my signal goes down, and the adapter searches for a new signal for about 10 seconds.  I dont know if its the network adapter thats the problem, the router, the graphics card I have (its a bad one), or the ISP. Do you think you can help solve this problem?

Windows XP SP2
Intel Extreme Graphics 2
Intel Pentium 4 (3.0 Ghz) with HT
1 GB of RAM
80 GB hard drive

Intel Graphics is not for games. It shares system Ram and CPU because there is no video processor.

I am currently ordering a new graphics card, but I dont think thats the full problem. I can play single player and things like that fine with no problems whatsoever.

Also, I am only getting 2 mbps for my internet connection. Any way to get the full 54Mbps? Even 11 would be good.

    Thanks
