So I reformatted my Dimension 4500 yesterday, and put XP Pro on it. Now the "ethernet controller" shows up under "other devices" in the Device Manager. When I "remove" it and restart Windows finds the new hardware and asks me if I want to install it. I say yes and use the driver cd that came with the pc but it never finds the right driver. When I just use the CD it tells me it has a driver for my NIC but I have installed it and nothing happens.

Any ideas?
