Wireless Pasword

I have a Inspiron 9100 and setting up a wireless network with a Belkin F5D7630-4A router. I want to make the network secure and can not find where to key in the password into the Inspiron 9100 wireless adapter.

    I believe you are confusing passwords for WEP or WPA encryption.  www.homenethelp.com/  and www.practicallynetworked.com/ may clear things up for you.

    First you have to set it up on the router. Then you can set it up on the notebook.

    I have set the security code on the router I know I am missing something very obvious but where do I set the security code for the Laptop?
