MBR to GPT

Hi all

I have Dell powerEdge R420.

I have 2 HDD hard disks of 4 TB each in RAID1, however they were installed as MBR so i can only see 2 TB instead of 4 TB.

What is the best way to migrate the MBR to GPT without lose any data.

one more thing - the 2 HDD in RAID 1 , i want to remove them and insert 1 SSD instead, and want to install OS server 2012 R2. if later i want to bring back the 2 HDD and remove the SSD, will the RAID will be broken ?

If you are using a PERC and it supports foreign configuration or some other type of disk migration feature then the virtual disk can be brought back online. You can find more information about controller features in the manual.

    Thanks
