We are using a PowerEdge 6850 server Installed with RHEL 4.6.
The hard disk which we using are hardware RAID, Could any one please tell me how can i check the status of hardware RAID in Dell.
In HP i have a utility called hpaculi. if i am installing this utlity then i can ge the RAID status, each disk status, location of disk etc. I am checking for a similar utlity for DELL servers also..
You have a couple options. You can reboot and then access the controller BIOS, now depending on the controller the prompt to access the controller BIOS on boot could be CTRLwith an A, M, R, or C.
Secondly, you can install Open manage on the server and be able to see the Raid details from within the OS.

Here is the link you will need - www.dell.com/.../DriverFileFormats
Let me know how it goes.
