Looking to see if the Community can provide any additional assistance or suggestions getting the onboard OLED UHD+ display ( several attempts to update but is using the 2006 Microsoft monitor.sys driver ( 10.0.22621.4391 build ) ) resolution settings to include the 3840x2400 option ( is showing 1920x1200 (Recommended) as the best / highest available.
As of this posting, all driver, firmware and o/s updates have been installed and brought current.
You're going to need a more capable docking station -- with Thunderbolt support -- to make that setup work. The dock you have is USB and will not have the bandwidth needed to drive those monitors.
@ejn63 Completely understood, asked for the TB4 and was not my call. But... would the docking station affect the onboard display driver resolution options?
Yes, if you mean external resolution (the internal resolution is a separate issue and if you're not seeing the system going beyond 1920X1200, that's because you don't have a high resolution display panel) -- it will be limited by the dock bandwidth.
@ejn63 No, the external display resolutions are sufficient. I am looking to get the internal / onboard / laptop display resolution issue corrected, as it is listed as OLED UHD+, so I can have the additional / needed options between 1920x1200 and 3840x2400.
